Welcome to my World

Hi, all! I'm Joan Lee, a South Korean teenager (and no, my dad is not Chinese despite my mind-bogglingly fantastic Chinese proficiency) with an eclectic mix of passions. You'll find me obsessing over green tomatoes (yes, specifically the green ones!) and collecting cute / hilarious monkey memes whenever I can find it.
I'm equally drawn to resonable political news and unreasonable conspiracy theories—sometimes the line between them are blurrier than we'd like to admit, right? When I'm not doom-scrolling, I'm lost in the pages of newly-discovered masterpieces. My recent favorites include The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison and The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien.
When I need to unwind, Johnny Stimson's music is my constant soundtrack. Oh, I also like to play the guitar and sing although I can never compare to his amazing talent. And in my free time, you might find me attempting (and mostly failing) to master the violin. My violin skills are a work in progress that may never progress, but I love it anyway!
This blog is where all these pieces of me come together. Join me as I share my thoughts, discoveries, and inevitable violin disasters.
